Equine Assisted Learning

AT AHIMSA THERAPEUTIC SERVICES

Learning Through Connection

Discover a unique, hands-on approach to personal growth through guided interactions with horses. Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) is a structured, experiential, ground-based program designed to help children, adolescents, adults, and families develop practical life skills in a supportive farm environment.

Working alongside an experienced Equine Specialist and in collaboration with professionals such as Behavioral Assistants (BA), Intensive In-Community (IIC) providers, Occupational Therapists (OT), school counselors, case managers, and other members of a participant's support team, individuals engage in purposeful activities with horses that foster self-awareness, communication, problem-solving, confidence, emotional regulation, resilience, and healthy relationship skills.

Whether the goal is to strengthen social skills, improve family communication, build confidence, develop leadership, reinforce educational or behavioral objectives, or support personal growth, Equine-Assisted Learning provides meaningful experiences that encourage lasting growth through connection.
